Astrology (2016)

At the beginning of recording “Silver & Gold” I was in the midst of some significant changes in my personal life. On a whim at a small fair/festival, I sat with a reader for the first time which later lead me to explore the subject of Astrology, something I’d never given much thought. Put that story aside for a moment..

In the late 50’s Frank Sinatra released an album of torch songs. A relentless song after song attack on your heart. Dylan did his own with “Blood on the Tracks”. This is my version, mixed in with some other things, like the above.

It’s my break-up album. An album for the broken hearted.

It will compliment your broken hearted blues if you have them. An ailment.

It might make you feel better by feeling worse.

I’m very proud of this record for many reasons. I was finally able to include the track “Beautiful” on an album which I’d recorded for my 2nd and 3rd records but had to leave it off. Once again, this album was recorded outside and quickly. The vocals were recorded one after the other in under an hour. The sound quality was a step up too.
