“I wanted to make a sharp, hard hitting rock’n’roll debut record reminiscent of the early seventies- T-Rex, Led Zep” “I wanted to do this despite, my limited resources- no band, no budget and no time. Nontheless, I wanted to write songs that would usually be the type of songs that a band would write together. One thing I didn’t want was to release a predictable singer/songwriter type record that solo artists usually churn out. I wanted a debut record that you would not expect from a solo artist. Acoustic guitars strummed along by the singer was definitely not on the menu. This record to me has a lo-fi sound to it and fell way short of T-Rex or Led Zep sound qualities. I remember when laying down the guitars for “Let’s boogie” I was looking for a Led Zeppelin 2 sound but came out with Rage Against the Machine most certainly due to the date of manufacture of all the equipment being used. I’m proud of my debut release no less”.
